DIP-IN partners with INRC for upcoming community leadership training

Thursday, August 28, 2025

Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) is offering free Community Leadership training to DIP-IN Steering Committee members and community residents.

Calling all community residents! DIP-IN is excited to partner with the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) in offering free community leadership training to DIP-IN Steering Committee members and community residents living in any of the three DIP-IN areas.

INRC has been providing community training and support for local Indianapolis neighborhoods for 30 years and is a leader in the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) training framework. The training sessions will focus on strengths-based practices such as the ABCD Framework, as well as Appreciative Inquiry, “to help participants identify individual and neighborhood assets, shift focus from deficits to strengths, and develop practical strategies to foster inclusive, resident-led change.”

These trainings are open to anyone living in the Near Northwest, Near West or Northeast communities of Indianapolis. For community members who have already attended these training sessions offered by INRC, you can still participate!

An alternative training will be offered in place of this, so you can continue building your community leadership skills. For more information and to express interest, fill out this simple form!

Know a community member who might be interested? Please pass this information along so as many neighbors as possible can access this free, community leadership training.
